Jerome S. Fletcher

Board of Advisors - Fletcher | Stein

Jerome Fletcher has more than 50 years experience in the insurance and real estate development business. Early in his career, Jerome led his family-owned insurance agency through more than two decades of growth, expanding operations beyond its Jacksonville base to include more than 22 offices throughout the Southeast and West.

In the late 1970s, Mr. Fletcher sold the firm to a major regional brokerage operation and began focusing his energies on real estate development.

During the past 20 years, Mr. Fletcher and his brother, Paul Fletcher, have developed major golf course communities in Jacksonville (Baymeadows), Memphis (Stonebridge), Birmingham (Inverness), St. Augustine (Palencia), and Ponte Vedra Beach (Oak Bridge and Marsh Landing).

Through his real estate development activities, Mr. Fletcher has been a driving force in the growth and success of the Ponte Vedra community. In 1979 he helped persuade the PGA Tour to move their national headquarters to Ponte Vedra. Several years later Mr. Fletcher was instrumental in inducing the Association of Tennis Professionals to move their international headquarters to Ponte Vedra, thereby making the north Florida community the world headquarters for men’s golf and tennis. The population of Ponte Vedra has grown from 5,600 in 1980 to its current headcount of 35,000 citizens.

Mr. Fletcher is a graduate of Yale University.
